  • Pererenan Beach

    Tucked between Echo Beach and Seseh Beach, Pererenan Beach is known for its dark sand and scenic views. It’s not good for swimming but it offers an exposed beach and reef break with dependable surf. The river mouth here is one of the better waves in the Canggu area, offering up a barrelling right-hander and performance walls at high tide.

  • Sangeh Monkey Forest

    The cool, dark and mysterious Sangeh Monkey Forest (22km from the villa) is home to about 700 long tailed macaques and 2000 straight-trunked ‘Palahlar’ trees, soaring up to 60 metres. It’s believed that the forest is more than three centuries old. There are four temples here, including the moss-covered Pura Bukit Sari in the heart of the forest.

  • Munduk

    Head up to the peaceful village of Munduk in Bali’s lake district, the drive is 1hr 40mins but it’s worth it. See the three lakes and enjoy a gentle trek through clove and coffee plantations to bathe or splash at any of the three famous waterfalls in the area: Munduk, Melanting and Laangan Melanting.
