The garden
At the lower part of the garden there is an infinity-edge, kidney-shaped 10 x 4 metre swimming pool, fashioned from green Javanese stone and at the edge of the “singing river” Pangi. To one side is a Palimanan stone sundeck furnished with six sun-beds and umbrellas, and a sweet scented frangipani tree that drops waxy flowers onto the smooth green lawn. Here, with views of the neighbouring rice fields, guests will be lulled by the serene sound of the running river.

Nearby, and sharing the same vista, is a bale bengong (Balinese relaxation gazebo) endowed with overstuffed cushions, providing another ideal spot for daytime massages.
A few metres away a small wooden deck, supporting a lazy chair and table, overlooks the river and rice fields, at a point where the river tumbles over a small cascade. This is a great spot for bird watching, and the beautiful iridescent blue Java Kingfisher with its distinctive red beak is a common sight.
